By Car:

• From the West

• Follow I-90 east to Exit 18 (Cambridge/Brighton);

• Bear left after the toll plaza and follow signs for Cambridge;

• Pass Guest Quarters Suite Hotel on your right and go straight to cross over the Charles River onto River Street;

• Continue on River Street for approximately 3/4 of a mile until it intersects with Massachusetts Avenue;

• Go straight through intersection (River Street becomes Prospect Street), and continue for 1 block;

• Turn left onto Bishop Allen Drive;

• Austin Court is 2 blocks down on your left, where Bishop Allen ends and intersects with Inman Street

• Via Interstate 93 (Southeast Expressway):

  • Take Exit 20 to Interstate 90 (Massachusetts Turnpike) west;

  • Follow I-90 W to Exit 20 (Cambridge/Brighton);

  • Bear right after the toll plaza and follow signs for Cambridge;

  • Pass Guest Quarters Suite Hotel on your right and go straight to cross over the Charles River onto River Street;

  • Continue on River Street for approximately 3/4 of a mile until it intersects with Massachusetts Avenue;

  • Go straight through intersection (River Street becomes Prospect Street), and continue for 1 block;

  • Turn left onto Bishop Allen Drive;

• Via Route 2:

• Follow Route 2 across Route 128/I-95 -- Route 2 is a four-lane, divided highway at this point -- to Alewife Parkway. (To park and take public transportation at this point, see our directions when traveling By Subway (Via the Red Line).

• Follow Alewife south (this is Route 2 and 16 at this point) until it becomes Fresh Pond Parkway.

• Follow Fresh Pond Parkway (this is still Route 2 and 16) until it becomes Storrow Drive.

• Exit Storrow Drive at the Central Square/Mass Pike exit.

• At the second light (watch for the Guest Quarters Suite Hotel), turn left and cross over the Charles River onto River Street.

• Continue on River Street for approximately 3/4 mile until it intersects with Massachusetts Avenue.

• Cross Massachusetts Avenue (River Street becomes Prospect Street).

• Proceed straight across intersection for one block. Turn left at the first traffic light onto Bishop Allen

• Take Mass. Ave. north to Central Square;

• Take right onto Prospect Street;

• Take first left onto Bishop Allen;

• Austin Court is on your left at the corner where Bishop Allen ends and intersects with Inman Street;

By Public Transportation:

• Via Red Line Subway:

  • Take Red Line, get off at Central Square station;

  • Walk west (away from Boston, toward Harvard Square) on Mass. Ave;

• Pass "1369" coffee shop and Hollywood Express;

• Take a right onto Inman Street;

• Austin Court is one block up, at intersection of Bishop Allen Drive and Inman St.;

• (Walking time from Central Square subway is approximately 5 minutes);

• Via Bus:

  • Take #1 bus inbound from Harvard Square or outbound from Dudley;

  • Get off in Central Square at City Hall/Post Office;

  • Follow Inman Street up for 1 block to Austin Court;
